Black Magic 04:30
What is happening, around here? It's so strange and feels so unreal Someone got in and fucked with the strings Behind the walls that control everything Everything I feel is real It must be Black Magic Black Magic Everything I feel is real It must be Black Magic Black Magic Screens start flickering, can't lock in Voices snickering, breathing out and back in again Rolls in the carpet can’t be stomped out Seven billion lost souls don’t know what I’m talking about Everything I feel is real It must be Black Magic Black Magic Everything I feel is real It must be Black Magic It’s Black Magic, and I feel it It’s Black Magic, and I feel it And I feel it It’s Black Magic Everything I feel is real It must be Black Magic Black Magic Everything I feel is real It must be Black Magic

Rollin right through Like nothin’s nothin Well I am somethin You should worry about Check your tires and your fuel gauge And double check your exit route And hope it ain’t somethin That I already thought about The call is traced You're outpaced And there’s nothing stopping Getting your soul defaced There’s a special place in Hell For people like you There’s sugar in your gas tank And somebody in your rearview There’s a special place in Hell For people like you You're a vicious amoral degenerate And I’m coming for you You think it’s fine To keep your feet on people’s necks And then you get upset Cause you shoes are getting dirty Kick em off and curse And you scramble away I’m sorry, so sorry That we ruined your day There’s a special place in Hell For people like you There’s sugar in your gas tank And somebody in your rearview There’s a special place in Hell For people like you You corrupt motherfucking degenerate I am coming for you

I keep making the same mistakes Endlessly repeating Find myself in the dark Down by the river Every time that I get here The air gets so heavy I’ve lost my way And I shiver Fog keeps rollin in and I keep breathing Breathin in the poison Til it’s all gone Ears start ringin The whole town’s singin The pain and refrain, of the Same old song I line em all up and I make that mistake again I set the damn thing on fire like a good little specimen Can’t figure it out, my immortal regimen I just set recurring I just set recurring and it all falls down again Filled with contempt That I’m concealing Sipping on the triumphs Of lesser men Choking on the ashes Of this beautiful evening I fall to pieces Again and again and again and again and I line em all up and I make that mistake again I set the damn thing on fire like a good little specimen Can’t figure it out, my immortal regimen I just set recurring I just set recurring and it all falls down again And it all falls down again Again and again and again and again and again and again and a-gain

Sunken eyes That criticize I believe All the lies Paranoid Frequency Sirens sound Secretly Tune on in To the silence And cosmic Violence Recognize The pain And my maker, Make it rain Breathe Confess To nothing Proclaim Profess Becoming It was destiny To be this mess It's broken It's damaged And I love it Misery You represent Identities You invent Siphon off Intelligence Discordant Resonance Slimy little Virus Vile Spineless Crawling up The veins Black rivers That scream my name Breathe Confess To nothing Proclaim Profess Becoming It was destiny To be this mess It's broken It's damaged And I love it You don't have To like me Would you go away If I asked politely? Or take off your coat And stay awhile My beautiful, filthy Crocodile

Living on lines of fluids Pulling back fluids, inhaling Black fluids, into me Veins change colors Insignificant others, and it's All available for a fee Daily dose chemical Cocktail with a foxtail and Everything else that comes for free Pour it all on and gimme a Sidecar song And lend a hand to my catastrophe Unconscious consciousness What have you done with this? Shredding to pieces and Burning it all Unconscious present tense Everything making sense Embrace the violence And unleash your arsenal Get rich quick and petty crimes Cigarette ash and coffee grinds Cheap tattoos that bleed infection Mantras not so subtle Tired hooks and dusty books, old Puzzles that ache for completion Countrytime in city lands, your Information’s secondhand, and I can Tell this is a point of contention Pour it on right, let’s make it a Sidecar night, and leave the Rest to your imagination Unconscious consciousness What have you done with this? Shredding to pieces and Burning it all Unconscious present tense Everything making sense Chasing, defacing, embracing This Cosmic Criminal Unconscious consciousness What have you done with this? Shredding and shredding and shredding, Burning it all Unconscious present tense Everything making sense Chasing, defacing, embracing This Cosmic Criminal

We are the only gods that exist And we’re terrible Born out of ashes, yesterday’s throwaways We’re incredible Only a messy world full of chaos And ill temperaments And what we represent Is a cause that’s completely inedible Our problems are all made up Woven of straw men’s extremities Common necessities, imperative And meaningless Punching holes out of paradox We like the way it tastes But we’re not sure where it comes from Not sure where it comes from Some ethereal blend Of discord and Diamox Draining away our fertility, and ability To give a fuck We are the only gods that exist And we’re fallible Pondering extralogical denizens Behind it all Only a simple world Where the doorman is far too lenient And the truth’s too convenient Are we so efficiently wrong Our problems are all made up Woven of straw men’s extremities And those starlit enemies Don’t exist Punching holes out of paradox We like the way it tastes But we’re not sure where it comes from Not sure where it comes from Some ethereal blend Of discord and Diamox Draining away our fertility, and ability To give a fuck Who blew it up, who’s pulling the strings? Can we figure out, by reviewing the tapes? Black Triangles hover in the sky Maybe they can tell us the reasons why we like Punching holes out of paradox And we like the way it tastes But we’re not sure where it comes from Not sure where it comes from Some ethereal blend Of discord and Diamox Draining away our fertility, and ability To give a fuck We are the only gods that exist And we’re terrible We’re terrible We are the only gods that exist And we’re terrible

Underwater 04:24

about

Black Rainbow Blues was written and produced over a period of five years and released in March of 2019. It started out as cinematic hip hop, purely instrumental and highly experimental. One fine day in 2016 in Venice Italy the lyrics of the song Underwater emerged. Cosmic Criminal and Black Magic were formulated shortly after, and the album's pace picked up steadily, each track building the next. In mid-2017, the name Black Rainbow Blues and a rough list of track names was sketched out. Most of those track names did not make the album, but established the mood and trajectory of the final six tracks.

The inspiration for the album is rooted in the artist's own struggles with mental health and the faults of human perception to tell an accurate story of the world around us. From there the album opens up into a much wider scope, to mass delusion, cultural anxieties and global panic. These topics are approached with a range of emotional engagement, from outright rage and contempt to sympathy and a love of the beautiful brokenness we all experience in life, along with the things we have to just be ok with to get by day-to-day.
